Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
As a board certified family nurse practitioner with a diverse background in acute care, family medicine, internal medicine, and urgent care, I possess a wealth of knowledge that enhances patient care and long-term health benefits.
My journey began as a nurse in a family medicine practice, where I saw firsthand the struggles of patients dealing with obesity and the serious health challenges that accompany it. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I served in a step-down ICU unit, providing critical care to patients battling severe illnesses, often compounded by multiple chronic conditions.
Driven to make a greater impact, I pursued my Master’s degree to be a nurse practitioner. After graduation, I transitioned into internal medicine, specializing in the management of chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and obesity. Through these experiences, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how weight management significantly impacts overall health and can mitigate the risk of serious health problems like heart disease.
I am now working at Advanced Urgent Care & Aesthetics, where I provide immediate care for patients requiring urgent attention while specializing in transformative semaglutide consultations. These consultations help patients achieve safe, sustainable weight loss through evidence based treatment approaches. I’m passionate about guiding patients toward optimal health by using personalized strategies that cater to their unique needs and lifestyles. Having witnessed the remarkable benefits of semaglutide for weight loss and overall wellness, I’m excited to offer individualized consultations in both English and Korean for patients ready to begin their journey toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
Raven Skirvin
Laser Technician
Raven Skirvin is a dedicated healthcare professional originally from Gainesville, Georgia. With over three years of experience as a Medical Assistant, she currently serves as the Lead Medical Assistant at Duluth Urgent Care. Raven is excited to expand her role by joining the wellness team as a Laser Technician.
Known for her compassionate approach and commitment to patient care, Raven takes great pride in building meaningful, trusting relationships with those she serves. She is passionate about continuing her education and growing her skill set to provide the highest level of care to every patient who walks through the door.
Outside of her professional life, Raven is a proud mom who enjoys spending quality time with her family and creating lasting memories together.
