Fast Weight Loss

Crash diets, fad diets, and the latest trendy marketing scheme may sound like a great option to lose weight fast. However, these options can often lead to further health problems. At Advanced Medical Spa, we offer several safe weight loss options, including injections and more. Our goal is to help you lose weight fast while maintaining a happy and healthy lifestyle long-term.

Is Fast Weight Loss Safe?

Typically, we are told that ‘slow and steady’ wins the race, which is true in many cases. Those popular crash diets, the latest fads, or killing yourself at the gym is neither a sustainable nor safe means to lose weight. However, fast weight loss is quite common and safe with proper nutrition and consistent exercise.

What Is Considered Fast Weight Loss?

It’s common to experience fast weight loss when you start a new diet or exercise plan. For example, in the first week, you might lose more than 2 pounds, but this is often mostly water weight. After that first week, you will probably lose an average of 1 to 2 pounds per week, or sometimes slightly less than that, which, according to experts, is a healthy and safe rate. Losing weight more rapidly than this may put you at risk of health problems, including muscle loss, gallstones, nutritional deficiencies, and decreased metabolism.

Is Rapid Weight Loss Sustainable?

It depends on your approach; losing weight is just the beginning of a longer journey. Without making the necessary lifestyle changes, most people who follow a rapid weight loss diet regain half of the weight they lost within a year. Even worse, nearly everyone who follows a trendy diet regains all the weight they have lost within 3 to 5 years.

For that very reason, most experts suggest losing weight steadily rather than dropping it too quickly. Following a plan or program that encourages healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and exercise, significantly improves the odds of keeping the weight off long-term.

How Do I Get Started With A Successful Weight Loss Plan?

That’s a great question, and as we stated above, there are better places to start losing weight than jumping in with the latest fad diet.

We recommend starting with a Wellness Evaluation, including labs, at one of our locations.

Because everybody is different and requires different steps to reach their weight loss goals, we begin with an in-depth evaluation of each patient to assess any nutritional deficiencies hindering your weight loss and overall well-being.

Evaluate Hormonal Imbalance

The plan may also include hormone replacement therapy (HRT) if we determine that your hormones are causing weight gain. In fact, one of the main signs of hormone imbalance is unexplained weight gain. In addition, hormone imbalance can also cause fatigue, which will also inhibit your ability to lose weight fast.

Assess Nutritional Needs

While there are many excellent nutritional supplements and weight loss aids available to assist you in your weight loss goals, they are not all created equal. Patients struggling to lose weight typically have a deficiency in vitamins B12, D, and C. Weight loss can also be affected by a lack of magnesium, Omega 3, iron, and sufficient protein in your diet.

Once we understand your needs, we will address any deficiencies, your goals, and your timeline and build a plan tailored directly for you. This plan may include oral nutritional supplements or injections such as semaglutide. Both are great for those who struggle to lose weight on their own.

What Other Steps Can I Take to Succeed At Losing Weight?

  • Choose a time to begin when you are motivated and can focus on your weight loss goals.
  • Schedule your first evaluation at Advanced Medical Spa.
  • Reduce food portions gradually throughout your program rather than making a drastic change right away.
  • Choose healthy foods that you like; your diet shouldn’t feel like punishment.
  • Be realistic with yourself and celebrate small victories.
  • Be kind to yourself; no punishment for setbacks.
  • Choose an activity that you enjoy to add steps to your daily routine.
  • Find your inner motivation and purpose for making the change.

How Can I Stay Motivated to Lose Weight?

Staying motivated to lose weight can be challenging, but it is crucial to achieving your goals. One effective approach is to focus on the benefits of weight loss, such as improved health, increased energy, and enhanced self-confidence.

Consider naming the specific activities you want to enjoy again. For example, “I want to have fun with my children or grandchildren for years to come,” or, “I want to enjoy long walks in the park with my partner again.”

Also, you should surround yourself with supportive friends and family members who will encourage and motivate you throughout your weight loss journey. Find the cheerleader in your circle of friends and make a lunch date when you feel less than enthusiastic about your journey.

What Safe Options Are Available For Fast Weight Loss?

Many great options are available to help you safely lose weight fast. But again, we do not recommend trying the latest fads that come around due to your metabolism and needs.
